New affiliate! Strawberrybisque's Fanvids

I don't have too much to update about. The collab with Summersparkle2 is going well. It's amazing for me because I'm really in awe of her work. It elevates "my game" so to speak. I don't want to let her down! LOL. The stuff she's doing is so spectacular. I also love, love, love the song. I can't wait until it's done so I can share it with all of you!

I did finish a rather short little vid for my current fandom obsession: GREEK! I'm not usually one to sell a show, but Greek is so fun and heartwarming. If you're not already watching it and you have some free TV time, then please give it a shot.

Thank you! I really appreciate all the tags I've received recently. I'm so glad that there are people dropping by the site and thinking about/enjoying the content (I'm very happy you liked those articles, Blu!). I'm trying to make this a place where I talk about/vent about/question vidding at least once a week. For those who have followed me for awhile, you know that's a big deal, as I used to go months without updating!

I finally sent off my layout stuff to Jay, who is a wonderful, fantastic human being for agreeing to put something together for me. She's so generous and I'm sure whatever she comes up with will be amazing.

Awards site? I'm thinking about starting one up in January. I know that seems far off, but I have a lot going on in the next two months and I would want everything in place before I launched. Of course, it will depend on the interest level. If you've seen my reviews at Blue Salad and still want to hear my opinion, leave me a message. I want to make sure there is interest before I enter the fray ;) And thank you again to Blu for allowing me to guest judge. It really opened my eyes!

I've been doing some serious soul-video-searching recently. Why do I vid? What's the point? What is the goal of a video? I'm the only person I know (aside from all the lovely people I've met on YT and elsewhere) who vids and I feel like I'm always making a case for why it's not a waste of my time.  First of all, if I were painting, or writing, or knitting scarves, no one would say anything, but because it's television/movies/music-related, it appears frivolous. That's not fair. I'm sure no one here would disagree, but still...

Everyone vids for a different reason. For me, it's a creative outlet. It's the one part of the day that I can flex what's left of my creative muscles. Lately, I've been focusing my energy a bit and trying to do more than just shippy vids, which is why if you look at my latest string of videos, you'll see character-heavy works. That's not to say I can't and won't make a fun/silly vid (I've got a really energetic Greek video in the pipeline) or that a silly video can't have a point. It certainly can and should! That is all. End of free association.

Also, I've been invited to do a collaborative video with Summersparkle2! I'm really excited about it. I've always wanted to do a collab, and I'm such a fan of her work. I was beyond thrilled when she suggested it. I don't want to give away too much, but I will say that it is multi-fandom and I think a lot of you will be surprised!
