Title: Dancing - A Richard and Kahlan Story

Song: "Dancing" by Elisa

Character/Pairing: Richard/Kahlan

Description: This is the story of Richard and Kahlan through season one, mostly from Kahlan's point of view. I think it follows the book storyline (Wizard's First Rule) a little more than the show does, but that's really in the eye of the viewer. Of course, "dancing" is a big freakin' metaphor. Also, I thought the lyrics really spoke to Kahlan's fear of hurting Richard with her power and yet, at the same time, she's worried that he'll hurt her because she's never felt love for anyone before.

Title: Without You

Song: "Anywhere But Here" by Safetysuit

Character/Pairing: Richard/Kahlan

Description: Richard loves Kahlan and sees that his life is complete now that she is around. That's actually a really smoopy explanation... It follows the lyrics of the song with special attention to Richard/Kahlan as a team and how they make each other stronger. The last minute is basically a tribute to the episode "Reckoning" as well as a summary of season one.

  Title: The Pretender (Richard vs. Rahl)

Song: "The Pretender" by the Foo Fighters

Character/Pairing: Richard/Darken Rahl

Description: It is supposed to be about Richard's journey and ultimate showdown with Darken Rahl. Rahl grossly underestimates Richard, sends lackeys to deal with him, etc, but Richard keeps beating back the forces of evil, despite the towering odds stacked against him. Eventually, Rahl is forced to confront Richard and not all goes according to plan.
